  1. How does it work?

    Entic’s proprietary and patented cloud-based technology provides customers with operational intelligence into their energy consuming systems, including HVAC, lighting, and water. This, in turn, provides building owners and operators with substantial visibility, control, and savings under an affordable, easy-to-implement subscription model.

    Using wireless sensors, computational analytics and data science, we’re able to identify inefficiencies that today’s point-to-point, PC-based control systems simply can’t see.

    And, we go even further: calculating waste and potential savings, prescribing corrective measures, and providing year-round human and automated monitoring to help you hold onto every efficiency gain.

  2. Are there Set-up Fees?

    Yes, there are setup feeds depending upon the solution you select.

  3. Are there any implementation costs?

    Yes, there are implementation fees depending upon the solution you select.

  4. Do you have a standard price list?

    Entic subscriptions are priced individually and vary according to building equipment and control systems, size, age, type, and other factors. However, price is primarily driven by the size of the facility, the number of modules enabled for analytics (e.g. kWh, water, gas, etc.), and the number of additional sensors required.

  5. What is contract length?

    Our typical agreement is for 12 months.

  6. Is my data secure?

    All Entic data is housed in co-located fully SOC 2, SSAE 16 compliant data centers, with active / active failover capability and available for external customer export at several optional contractual frequencies for internal, customer back-up purposes. Additionally, all customers have access to Entic’s “Export” functionality from within the application at all times.

  7. Do I have to buy or install the sensors?

    No, all additional non-intrusive sensors and communications equipment are provided and installed by Entic or by our partners.

  8. Do I need to buy a PC?

    No. All processing requirements are performed by our cloud-based platform and our dashboards can be accessed via any web browser, mobile device, or tablet.

  9. Do you have reports?

    Yes, we provide reporting capabilities. Entic also offers customers the ability to “push” scheduled reports to different users on an ongoing basis.

  10. Are “Alerts” available?

    Yes, unlimited text, phone, and email alerts are standard. These are often specific to customer-defined fault classifications and excess energy usage thresholds.

  11. Does Entic remotely monitor our activity as well?

    Yes, Entic has a Remote Monitoring Center that can be included, depending upon your subscription package, which monitors all of your sites and identifies and notifies you of any major fault via phone, email, or text notification. The center is staffed by experienced engineers and energy specialists and has a redundant infrastructure to guard against interruptions.

  12. Do you measure efficiency in lighting and other energy consuming systems?

    Yes, Entic’s energy analytics are available for all energy consuming systems.

  13. Where are Entic’s resources based?

    Today, Entic’s resources are based throughout the continental United States, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.

  14. How quickly do we see Energy savings?

    Customers typically begin to realize savings within the first year.

  15. Are you limited to the United States?

    No. We currently provide services to customers throughout North America, South America, and Central America, as well as the Caribbean.

  16. Who are your current partners?

    Our current partners include IT, energy integration specialists, control, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical companies.

  17. What is the profile of your typical channel partner?

    Our typical channel partner is an experienced system integrator, HVAC, lighting, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering contractor. These partners perform functions such as sales, implementation, and integration with customers’ energy consuming systems.

  18. May we speak with references?

    References are available upon request and based on our customers’ permission.

  19. May we visit your customers?

    Yes, and we’ll arrange it for you based on customer approval.

  20. What does the typical implementation require from us in terms of time and resources?

    The typical implementation may require several days from the customer and is mainly focused on basic questions regarding data collection and connectivity.

  21. Does it help us with preventative maintenance issues?

    Yes, our predictive analytics extend the life of your hardware and help ensure that maintenance is performed when it’s needed.

  22. Will this help me manage new construction projects?

    Entic works with new and old buildings alike. Our proven technology has even helped new, LEED Gold Certified facilities to cut costs, maintain peak performance and reduce energy waste.

  23. Will this help me with measuring efficacy of new hardware purchases?

    Yes. Too often new hardware efficiency is left unchecked. Entic’s analytics software allows you to see component-level efficiency to ensure you’re getting what you paid for.

  24. Can I use Entic to measure equipment and service agreement performance?

    Yes, Entic’s dashboard maintains historical, up-to-the-minute data on all consumption, efficiency and performance metrics and targets.

  25. Do I need to buy more sensors?

    No. We’ve developed our own proprietary sensors, and provide these as part of each subscription.

  26. How long does it take to perform an energy walkthrough?

    Our energy analysis typically takes 1-2 hours. This analysis helps us project savings and to calculate monthly subscription costs.

  27. Does it cost anything?

    The energy analysis is provided at no charge.

  28. Do I need to be on this platform all day?

    Not at all. Our cloud-based dashboards are available at any time via a web browser or mobile device. In addition, we provide alerts phone, SMS, or email according to your preferences.

  29. What is Triangulation℗ and why is it so important?

    Incomplete or inaccurate data is one the top reasons that energy efficiency projects fail. Triangulation refers to our patented data analysis and validation processes, which uses multiple, redundant and concurrent data points to ensure quality, reliable data. This technology is at the heart of providing true visibility and achieving real performance and efficiency.
