MIAMI AIRPORT’S UPGRADES TO SAVE $40 MILLION ON ENERGY, WATER USE

Tech company Entic of Pembroke Pines offers a different approach that does not require upgrading equipment.

For a monthly fee, Entic uses sensors and software to improve performance of existing equipment, in much the same way that companies use analytics to boost efficiency of their accounting or supply chains, said CEO Carlos Diaz.

Four-year-old Entic now employs 23 people. Its customers include Miami Marlins stadium and other major sports stadiums, Diplomat Resort & Spa and other hotels, plus Broward Health, Diaz said..

“Companies are looking for ways to cut costs without spending on capital improvements,” Diaz said. “They realize they can make energy systems more efficient and get big cost savings.”
